Anu Apte

Anu Apte is the sole proprietor of Rob Roy, celebrating 13 years as a Seattle legacy bar. She is one of the masterminds and mixologists behind award-winning bars, Navy Strength, No Anchor, Vinnie’s Wine Shop, Trade Winds Tavern and bar tool haven The Bar Bazaar. Over her 20 years in the hospitality industry, Apte has moved from DJ to dish pit, from Banquet Director to Bartender, and from General Manager to Bar Owner. She has bartended across the globe for pop-ups and special events. In 2014, the National Museum of American History, Smithsonian Institution, invited her to present a cocktail for the Star-Spangled Banner’s 200th anniversary. She has been featured in a multitude of newspapers, magazines, online publications, and podcasts.

Apte graduated Alpha Epsilon Delta (Pre-Medical Honor Society) with a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Sciences from the University of Utah. She has successfully tested for the BAR 5-Day Program®, completed the UC Berekely’s post-baccalaureate program for psychology, and mental health counseling and is on her path working towards a Doctorate in Psychology. Apte is a hospitality lifer and dreams of incorporating holistic healthcare into working restaurant and bar programs.
